Cold Spring Orchard

Cold Spring Orchard is a research and education facility of UMass Amherst located just 14 miles from campus. They have more than 100 varieties of apples and a gorgeous view of the Holyoke Mountain Range.

They sell products like honey, cider, peaches, pumpkins, and jam, and offer informational school tours for kindergarten to high school students. They provide apples to UMass dining commons.

Shawn McIntire has been with the orchard for 22 years, works with professors on research, manages wholesale and retail accounts, and collaborates with students.
